Sr. Diefenbacher and Margret Diefenbacher (Condon); his wife Ruth Diefenbacher (Williams); his stepdaughter Dawn Golden; his siblings, David, William, John, Robert, Thomas Diefenbacher and Ellen; his brother-in-law Tony Magistro; his stepgranddaughter Melissa Holmes; and his nephew Bobby Magistro.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Diefenbacher (Kathy) of Wilmington, NC and Kevin Diefenbacher (Bonnie) of Norwich; his stepdaughter Diane Shedd (Arlyn) of Norwich; his stepson-in-law Donnie Golden of Oxford; his grandchildren, Eric Diefenbacher, Jennifer Saeed of Norwich, Christine Cook of Wilmington, NC, Terra Donnely of Wilmington, NC and Leighann Diefenbacher of Wilmington, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Brian Crandall (Jeanie) of Oxford, Jeff Crandall of Binghamton, Jessica Waterman (Don), Rebecca Jenkins (Robert) and Amanda Holmes (Santee); his great grandchildren, Aidan, Nora Diefenbacher, Brian, Shelby Hartwell, Brittany Lousier, Dakota Cronin, Megan, Tristan Cook, Brycen, Kyleigh Donnely, Emma, Madison and Cataleah Verleni; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Zachary Crandall, Shania Bartlett (Joe), Josiah Crandall, Sarah-Mae Crandall, Gabriel Crandall, Arielle Crandall, Amellia Crandall, Ethan Crandall and Addyson Waterman; and his great great grandchildren, Rowan, Arabella Bartlett and Opheoia DeVanie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
