She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Alton Squires and Fannie Walker Squires; her son Derrick J. Slater; her grandchildren, Amanda, Christina Stiles, Eric, Christopher Bishop, Pamela Nichols and James Parker; and her siblings, Nancy Simpson Squires of Northville, N. Y., Norma Heald Squires of Norwich, N. Y., Flora Frink Squires, Percy Squires, Shirley Earle Squires, David Squires and Claude Squires.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah J. (Michael E. Bishop) and Sharon A. Parker (Hubert C. Neer). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
