He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Simmons and Elsie Simmons; and his granddaughter Tiffany. He is survived by: his wife Lucy J. Simmons (Pike); his children, Richard (Sherry) of Melrose and Linda (James) of Constable; his grandchildren, Tony, Brandy, Gregory, Bradley, Daniel, James, Caleb and Rebecca; his great grandchildren, Kyra, Payge, Blake, Beau, Bennett, Allyssa, Emily, Tyler and Alana; and also Sarah J. Martin (Luke).

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northville Pilgrim Holiness Church (1284 County Hwy 123, Mayfield, NY 12117). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
