He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Smith and Madeline Vandenburg Smith; his former wife Helen; his siblings, Tom, Helen and Joann; and his stepchildren, Connie Eno, Cathy Eno and TJ Eno.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Himes Smith of Gloversville; his children, John Smith of Las Vegas, James Smith of Glens Falls, Nancy Ginter of Gansevoort and JoAnn Smith; his stepdaughter Carol Buell of Northville; and his brothers, James Smith of Ct and Joseph Smith of Saratoga.
