We are sad to announce that on September 6, 2019, at the age of 100, Dorothy D. Chapin (Northville, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Larry Chapin; and her sisters, Elsie and Elanor. She is survived by: her son Alfred Paul Chapin III (Janette); her grandchildren, Alfred Chapin IV, Elizabeth, Daniel (Erica), David, Amanda (Jeff), Wesley (Hillary), Abby, Jessy and Lorraine; and her significant other Hunter Cole-Hatchard. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northville Baptist Church in Dorothy's name.

“My condolences to the family. The memories I have spending summer vacation on the farm are always with me. The love shown to me as a child was immense. I think of the secret "club house," the rides on Paul's shoulders, the gentle nudging to rise and begin the day, the trips to town with "Dodo," Scamp and the kittens. To say I was spoiled is an understatement. Dodo, Al (Tootsie), Larry and Paul will remain in my heart forever. May your faith bring you comfort in this time of loss.”
