He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maryann; his daughters, Heather Smosky (Paul) and Candice Smosky; his grandchildren, Raylan, Eilis and Anthony; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Heer (Hank), Linda Koch (Ed) and Jane Corcione (Tony).

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nolan Funeral Home, Inc. (5 Laurel Ave, Northport, NY 11768). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Philip Neri Cemetery (5 Laurel Rd, East Northport, NY 11731).
