He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene and Beatrice; and his siblings, Eugene Jr. and Viola Jacqueline Holmes. He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Ann Holmes, Dorothy Mae Norton and Wilhemenia Dalton (Anthony); his nieces, Terri Norton-Bunting and Kellye Dalton; and his nephew Kalin Norton.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, Inc. (5 Laurel Ave, Northport, NY 11768). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Nolan Funeral Home, Inc. (5 Laurel Ave, Northport, NY 11768). A burial was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
