He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Witt and Helen Witt; and his brothers, Martin Witt and Larry Witt. He is survived by: his wife Janice M. Witt; his son Randy Witt; his sister Marilyn Wolf (Thomas); and his sister-in-law Donna Witt.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
