He was predeceased by: his parents, Casimir Wesolowski and Jenny Wesolowski. He is survived by: his wife Judith Wesolowski (Taylor); his children, John Peter Wesolowski Jr., Teri Wildey (Mark), Michael Wesolowski (Jennifer) and Robert Wesolowski (Tanya); his grandchildren, Zachery (Julia), Brianna, Hunter, Ashley (Matt), Parker, Autumn, Olivia, Tyler and James; and his great grandchildren, Bryson and Landon.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home (533 Meadow Dr, North Tonawanda, NY 14120). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (4000 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14217).
