He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Lou Berg (Zellner); his children, Deborah Utz, Jennifer Rohe (Sam), Maria Lommer (Warren Farrell), Donna Hemmerling, Dawn Hemmerling and Donald Hemmerling Jr. (Tracey Brundage); and his grandchildren, Melissa Coppola (Dan), James Lommer Jr., Christopher Lommer, Jenna Rohe, Samantha Rohe, Brianna Rohe and Lacy Hemmerling.
