She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Akins; her grandchild Justen Akins; and her siblings, Ronald Brown, Joel Brown and Jeanette Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Akins (Nancy), Mark Akins (Debbie), Sharon Ammerman (Edward) and Melissa Akins; her grandchildren, Cory Akins, Laura Wilson, Taylor Masur, Lisa Wilson, Lexi Smoak, Abigail Murphy, Andrew Taylor, Jack Akins and Jennifer Wilson; her great grandchildren, Emma Akins, Theo Masur and Kennedy Smoak; and her siblings, Bill Brown, Charles Brown, Jerry Brown, Dwight Brown and Paulette Akins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fretthold Funeral Home (1241 Oliver St, North Tonawanda, NY 14120). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
