He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Hanes and Norma Hanes. He is survived by: his wife Christine A. Hanes (Nosbisch); his children, Brian Hanes (Lindsey) and Kelly Weinreber (Bobby); his grandchildren, Carter, Corbin, Renin and Caius Hanes; his pets, Sarge and Tank; and his brother Mike Hanes (Doris).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gratwick Hose #6 (110 Ward Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Fire Boat E. M. Cotter Conservancy, Inc., PO Box 247, Bowmansville, NY 14026, or to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120.
