Robert McNamara Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2024, at the age of 80, Robert McNamara of North Syracuse, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McNamara, and Marilyn McNamara, Sr.; and his sister Elizabeth Koagel. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Slocum (Jay), Mary Rochette, Steven McNamara and Joni McNamara; his grandchildren, Jeremy Slocum, Ryan Slocum, Meghan Goyer (Chad), Casey Rochette, Tracey Rochette, Alexis McNamara and Jason Steves; his great grandchildren, Jaxon and Landon; his siblings, Marilyn McNamara, Kathleen Gonya (Greg) and David McNamara; and his former wife Joan Pagano. He is also survived by extended family and his dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home (209 N Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church (435 S Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert J. McNamara, Jr. to Luther Memorial Church.
