Gustav A. Rautenberg Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gustav A. Rautenberg of North Syracuse, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Rautenberg and Emma Rautenberg (Brzoska); his wife Lucy Rautenberg (Fagliarone); and his brother-in-law Harry Horner. He is survived by: his children, Gary Rautenberg (Phyllis), Karen Rautenberg, Lynn Harrington (Chris), Ruth Ann Kirk (Robert), Diane Rautenberg and David Rautenberg; his grandchildren, Eric Rautenberg, Kelly, Alexi, Serena Harrington and Evan Kirk; his stepgrandson Steven Birnbaum; his sister Ruth Horner; and his niece Erin Horner. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. (1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen Lutheran Church (873 Dewitt St, Syracuse, NY 13203). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (800 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13203).
