He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Shipley and Sarah Morris Shipley; and his siblings, Kenneth, Clyde, Rhea Poole, Nancy Mabels and Anna Zora Loveless.

He is survived by: his wife Rene Shipley; his son Duane Shipley (Barb) of North Rose; his grandchildren, Brice Shipley (Alayna) of North Rose and Kelley Allen (Jason) of Williamson; and his great grandchildren, Paige Shipley, Julia Shipley, Devin Allen, Grant Allen and Lylah Allen.
