She was predeceased by : her parents, Sherbin Tougas and Zita Tougas (Collette); and her siblings, Beverly Henderson, Elwood, Bruce, Wayne and Douglas Tougas.

She is survived by : her husband Frederick; her former life partner Danny Jacques; her children, Jean Crump of North Lawrence, Timothy Crump of North Lawrence, Christine Johnston of North Lawrence, Steven of North Lawrence and Leanne Crump of North Lawrence; her sister Janetta "Jan" Spanbaur of Massena; her aunt Edna Goodrich; and her sisters-in-law, Anne Tougas of Rochester and Margaret Tougas of Rochester. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and spouses; 11 great grandchildren.

In keeping with Sharlyn's wishes flowers are respectfully declined and memorial contributions can be made to Church of the Holy Cross, Tri-Town Rescue Squad, Fire Departments in the Tri- Town area, and to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley Inc.
