He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Sweeney and Eleanor Manory Sweeney; and his sister Mary Agnes Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Deeb Sweeney (Mern); his brother Mark Sweeney (Susan); his brother-in-law Joseph Deeb (Rosemary); and his nieces and nephews, Brendan, Moira, Kieran Sweeney, Kellie Seabury (Shawn), Joseph Deeb Jr., Albert Deeb (Tori) and Stephanie Maes (Matt). He is also survived by nieces nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends.
