Theresa V. Chenot Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa V. Chenot of North Greenbush, New York, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. McKenna and Beatrice McKenna (Goulet); her siblings, John, Jr., Roger, Richard McKenna and Irene Bento; her siblings-in-law, Nancy McKenna and Robert Chenot; and the father of her children Alfred F. Chenot.
She is survived by: her sons, James Chenot (Janice) of Latham and William Chenot (Regina) of Castleton; her grandchildren, Caitlin Sharp (Kyle), Christie Gordon (CJ), Jordan Chenot (Christianna), William Chenot, Jr. (Kristin), Ryan Chenot (Elizabeth), Patrick Chenot and Matthew Chenot (Kiera); her sister-in-law Wanda Chenot; and her caregivers, Gerry Elsbree, Margot Covelli and Breanna Abbott. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home Inc. (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (175 Williams Rd, Troy, NY 12180). A burial was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Park (983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205).
