He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Wortz and Margaret Ackner Wortz. He is survived by: his wife Penny Montanye Wortz; his children, Lorie Ann Sayward (Roy), Susanne Pantea and Larry John Wortz II; and the mother of his children Jane Fucci.
