She was predeceased by: her parents, Christos Evangelos and Urania Buas (Duni); her husband Thomas G. Cholakis; and her father-in-law George. She is survived by: her children, Nia (John Aretakis) and George (Evangeline); her siblings, Elaine Buas of Silver Spring, MD, Anastasia Ruocco of Baltimore, MD and Evangelos Buas (late Diane Buas) of Silver Spring, MD.; her grandchildren, John, Katherine "Kady" and Matthew; her parent-in-law Katina Cholakis of Troy; and her siblings-in-law, Nicholas Cholakis (late Helen) and Dassie Cholakis (late Con G.). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to COVID restrictions, funeral services will be private (http://www.stbasiltroy.com) and held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, 909 River Street, Troy, followed by interment in the Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Avenue, Troy.
