He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur B. Holmewood and A. Eleanor Garvin; his sister Stephanie Holmewood Scarpelli; and his aunts, Mina Neil and Adelaide Ungerland.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Halacy; his sons, Kacey (Jen Coulter) and Kevin Holmewood; his grandsons, Grayson and Liam Holmewood; and his sister Maureen Koabel (Don). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A Mass was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (163 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the New Rural Cemetery.
