John K. Fanning Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John K. Fanning of North Chatham, New York, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Fran (Dietz); and his sisters, Betty Sullivan (Ray) and Sharon Piegaro (Frank). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. (165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
