He is survived by: his children, Cayden, Trinity and Alyza; his parents, Rodney Bessey and Lorraine Bessey; and his siblings, Seth Carter (Nicole Peck), Rodney Bessey (Meagan Bessey) and Kari Bessey (Ron Pryce). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bangor Volunteer Fire Department.
