He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Spellan and Ruby Spellan; and his siblings, George, Glendon Spellan and Suzanne Bestor.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Smith; his children, Jessica Faulkner of Massena and Derek Spellan (Sally) of Parish, Florida; and his grandchildren, Mason, Kiera, Kaylee, Kodey and Kassidy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
