He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his son Darryl Emlaw; his granddaughter Heather Emlaw Planty; his siblings, Leland "Lee" Emlaw and Betty Emlaw; and his parents, Vernon Emlaw and Marion Hanley Emlaw.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky (Kathy Emlaw), Dale (Joanne Emlaw), Kevin (Melody Emlaw), Nancy (Steve Szafranski) and Kathy (Mark Hasenauer); and his granddaughter-in-law Frances Packard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
