He was predeceased by: his father Frank Spath; his daughter Sharon West; and his siblings, Philip Spath (Virginia), Jerry Spath (Philomena), Josephine Spallone (Emilio) and Anna Koll (Gene).

He is survived by: his caregiver Deborah Spath (Hiltsley); his children, Mark Spath (Patricia), Wayne Spath (Bonnie), Eric Spath, Gregory Spath (Kimberly), Victoria Pautler (Gregory), Ashley Closson (Daniel) and Joseph Spath; and his sisters, Jean Hicks (Jack), Delores Bolinger (Roy) and Carol Stafford (Earl).

Donations can be made to the Mohawk humane society in honor of Franks deceased and beloved "best girl" dog, Mia or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
