The memory of Newell F. Butler (Nichols, New York), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. C. Duane Butler and Caroline Butler (Fairchild); his wife Marilyn "Tommie" Butler (Thomas); his cousins, Charles Butler, Mary Ellen Raudenbush (Gene), Althea Frink (George) and George Maines (Bea); his brother-in-law Ray Scheesley; and also, Edith Thomas, Llewellyn "Bud" and Thelma Thomas.
He is survived by: his cousins, Judith White (Richard), Donald Thomas and Millie Butler; his close friend Marion Bennett; and his in-laws, Carol Scheesley, Ellyn Saxton (Frank), David Thomas (Mary), Herm and Alta Rathke.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel (273 Main St, Nichols, NY 13812). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
