Emmett Dewing (Suzi); his sister Sarah Nicole Carr; his nephew Luke Jeffery; his niece Ella Nicole; his sister Rebekah Hope Hoover (Paul David Hoover); his nieces and nephews, Judah Michael, Ephraim Adam, Jacob Daniel, Emma Grace, Erin-Elisabeth Hope and Joshua David; and his grandparents, Russell A. Dewing Sr., Ruth G. Dewing, Sue Schrag, Vern Schrag and Linda Emmett. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His charity of choice was the Trevor Project.
