It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Henry Markant of Niagara Falls, New York, born in Linden, New Jersey, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Frederick Markant and Evelyn Markant (Tetlus); and his brother Rev. Frederick Markant Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Markant (Waldheim); his children, Jeff Markant, Kristen Guidotti, Deborah Nowakowski (Erik) and Kimberly Fiegl (James); his daughter-in-law Michele Markant; his grandchildren, Brandon Markant (Rebecca), Ashley Markant (Erik Del Forn), Morgan Markant, Jeffrey Markant Jr., Jackson Markant, Larissa Kubiak (Ben), Kaitlyn Fiegl, Jacob Markant, Ryan Nowakowski, Hunter Fiegl, Jason Nowakowski, Brooklynn Markant, Emma Fiegl and Kassidy Fiegl; his great grandchildren, Amberlee Markant, Mila Markant and Tage Markant; his brother David Markant (MaryEllen) of Rochester, NY; and his sister-in-law Gloria Markant (Frederick) of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by his nephews, nieces, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations be made in Vernon's honor to the NY Ministry Network for Royal Rangers and Niagara Hospice.
