He was predeceased by: his sister Connie Tipton. He is survived by: his daughter Laura M. Sands (Jonathan); his granddaughters, Lilliann, Heidi and Victoria Sands; and his siblings, Kim Tipton, Audy Tipton (Michelle), Tamie Wildey (Robert), Donald "George" Carbonneau, Bonnie Carbonneau, Amy Carozzolo (Samuel), Danny Granville (Jeannette), Sheila Cederman, Marcia Michaels (Michael) and Cheryl Schmahl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A committal service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Western New York National Cemetery (1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036).
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorial donations be made in Rodney's name to the Buffalo V.A. Hospital, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215.
