He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley J. Sobczyk and Stephanie Sobczyk (Janik); and his wife Lorraine Sobczyk (Stempien). He is survived by: his sons, Michael Sobczyk (Lisa) and Robert M. Sobczyk (Kathy); his grandchildren, Logan and Kendall; his sisters, Marie DeRusha (late Bill), Patsy Steiner (late Herb), Bernadette Vanhorn (Jeff), Dorothy Juras (late James) and Elaine D'Arcy (late David); and his uncle Matthew (Bertha). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Zajac Funeral Home Inc. (319 24th St, Niagara Falls, NY 14303). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jesus Mary & Joseph Parish (2499 Independence Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14301). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at the Holy Trinity Cemetery (5401 Robert Ave, Lewiston, NY 14092).
