He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Swartz and Jean I. Swartz (Murphy); his stepdaughter Amber Stankovich; his granddaughter Lillian May; and his siblings, Maureen Seward (late Alan), Michael R. Swartz, Timothy Swartz (Joanne), Dennis Swartz (late Annmarie) and Philip Swartz (Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Swartz (DeMita); his stepchildren, Mandy May (Eric Hibschweiler), Adam Stankovich (Nicole) and Ashley Biro (Michael Dale); his siblings, Lee Swartz (Florence), Karen Smith (late Richard), Donald Swartz (Patricia), Lawrence Swartz (Joyce) and Mary Anne Swartz; his aunt Bernadette Geiser; and his in-laws, Richard DeMita (late Sharon) and Debra Simpson (Craig). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.
