He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Martin Pfohl and Viola Pfohl; his wife Elaine Pfohl; his children, Donna Knights (Robert) of Penfield, NY, Barbara Walck (Mark Lindauer) of Sanborn, NY and Gary Pfohl (Karen) of Asheboro, NC; his grandchildren, Lindsey Knights (Mark Janzen), Laura Knights (Jake Parker), Megan Fendt (Peter) and Jenna Hanes (Kevin); and his siblings, Marilyn Cornelius (late Ben), Delbert Pfohl (Joann) and Lorraine Steingasser (Larry). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
The family kindly asks in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made in Melvin's name to St. Peter's Church or School.
