He was predeceased by: his parents, Melhim Shahin and Osma Shahin (Sawma); and his son Scott Thomas Shahin. He is survived by: his wife Judith Shahin (Ward); his children, Susan Dineen (Timothy) and Melvin Shahin, Jr.; his grandson Connor Dineen; and his brother Frederick Shahin (Jutta). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
