She was predeceased by: her parents, Roada Masih and Mehran Bibi; and her spouse Sardar Masih. She is survived by: her children, Gulshan Akhter, Munawar John and Naeema Baksh; her grandchildren, Alicia, Ashlee, Alexander, Anthoney Akhter, Amoreen, Loreen and Jacob Baksh, Jr.; and her great grandchild Isaac Akhter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
