She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Bender and John Vogt; her son Robert W. Prefer; and her brothers, John Vogt, Richard Vogt and Joseph Vogt.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Vekich (Joseph) and David Prefer; and her grandsons, Michael Vekich (Kayla Lambert) and Samuel Vekich (Amanda Seiler). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
