He was predeceased by: his parents, Arbie Ferguson and Lola Ferguson (Crittenden); his children, LaTonya Porter-Stewart, James Porter and LaTesha Porter; his grandchildren, Na'lani and Na'lantae; and his brother Arthur Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Ferguson (Green); his children, Octavious Ferguson, Shaquille Ferguson, Clifton Porter, Martice Porter, Ja'Von Porter-Kent, Antwon Porter-Smith, Patrina Porter and Beverly Daniels (Clarence); his stepchildren, Aretha Videau, Towanda Moore, Stanley Moore, Jr. (Hope) and Desiree Moore; and his siblings, Lola Cheatham (Ruben), Annie Presley, John Ferguson (Tameka), Gloria Ferguson and Anthony Ferguson. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.
