It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Irene (Walke) Kantenwein (Niagara Falls, New York), who passed away on July 2, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest H. Walke and Alice Walke (Doddridge); her son William Robert Kantenwein; and her siblings, Elsie Stickney, Robert and Ernest Walke.
She is survived by: her husband William J. Kantenwein; her daughter Elizabeth Foley (James); her daughter-in-law Rena Kantenwein (late William R.); her grandchildren, Michael J. Foley (Jennifer), Kelly Rice (Douglas), Douglas Kantenwein (Deanna) and Jill Lowe (Vaughn); her brother Raymond Walke (late Lorraine); and her daughter Nancy Lasut (John). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gladys' name to Hospice of Buffalo Capital Fund, 225 Como Park Boulevard, Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
