She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schul and Laura Schul (Sachs); her husband George Hartwig; her son Thomas George Hartwig; and her brothers, Howard Schul and Richard.
She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Taylor; her grandchildren, Vanessa Lhommedieu (John) and Justin Thomas Hartwig (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Tristan; and her brother Leonard Schul (Loretta). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
