He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Penale and Francesca Penale (Gallo); his son John Penale; and his siblings, Theresa DiCecco (late Anthony), Josephine Laurenzi (late Armand), Jenne Whitmire (late John), Regetta Bane (late Fred), Mary Penale, Anthony Penale, Laurence Penale (Mary), Frank Penale (Jennie) and Eric Penale.
He is survived by: his wife Angeline C. Penale (Ruggiero); his sons, Dominic Penale, Jr. and Thomas Penale (Kathy); his grandchildren, Mary Alice O'Donnell (Brian), Margaret Rose Zagotti (Chris), Thomas Penale, Jr. (Molly), Stephen Penale (Ally) and David Penale (Lindsay); his great grandchildren, Liam, Fiona O'Donnell, Enzo Zagotti, Mya, Lou, Nicholas, Vinny and Geno Dominic Penale; and his sister Frances Havens (Miles). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
