He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny J. Newton and Edna Newton (Goldsmith). He is survived by: his wife Erica Newton (Swann); his children, Damien Finklea, David J. Newton, Damier Newton and Dayquez Newton; his stepsons, Joshua Swann and Tyler Swann; and his siblings, Johnny Newton, Jerome Newton and Sheila Newton. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
