He was predeceased by: his parents, John'Jack'E. McDonald and Addie M. McDonald (Lajoie); his wife Carol McDonald (Robillard); and his siblings, John A. McDonald (late Anna) and Mary Mullaney.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas McDonald (Carolyn), Donna Dwyer, Mark McDonald (Chris), Barbara Brusino (late Robert Raczka), Michael McDonald and Jackie Bryans (Kevin).
