He was predeceased by: his parents, Morton Swinyer, Sr. and Shirley Swinyer (Smith); and his brothers, Ronald and Gordon Swinyer. He is survived by: his wife Lauren Swinyer; his daughters, Yesenia Swinyer and Lana Swinyer (Chase); his stepchildren, Richard Tomasso and Appollonia French; and his siblings, Daniel, Marge Swinyer, Melissa Thivierge and Robin Coller. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Mort may be made to the Sons of the American Legion, Post #1539, 264 Benson Mines Road, Star Lake NY 13690.
