He is survived by: his wife Linda J. Snyder; his children, Brett Helmer (Jennifer) of Cicero, Wade Helmer of Norway and Amy Shepherd (Michael) of Mohawk; his brothers, Alton Helmer (Madeline) of Dunkirk, Frank Helmer (Mary Lee) of Utica, Burt Helmer (Mary Ellen) of Herkimer and Stuart Helmer (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Brett, Madison Helmer, Dakota and Myka Shepherd. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
