It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Franklin S. Lamphere (Newport, New York), born in Herkimer, New York, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lamphere and Flossie Lamphere (Allen); his wife Dorothy M. Huckabone; his siblings, Jay, Arthur, Eugene, Emerson, Glenn, Roger Lamphere, Edith Johnson, Isabel Lee and Margaret Williams; and his half-brother Bill Daley.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Alexys, Lucy and Vivienne; his children, Kevin Lamphere of Syracuse, Melissa Bolton (Philip) of Middleville and Michael Lamphere of Middleville; his grandchildren, Kim Walker (Tim), Renee Lamphere (Michael Speziale), Matthew, Andrew Lamphere, Philip Bolton, Jr. (Mari), Olivia, Klohie, Jorja and Bella Bolton; his great grandchildren, Lucille Bolton and Vivienne Viscomi; and his sisters-in-law, Esther Lamphere of Richfield Springs, Jean Lamphere of Salisbury, Betty Lamphere of Poland and Ethel Lamphere of Herkimer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p. m. Please wear a face covering and understand that social distancing and capacity protocols will be in place due to current restrictions.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Fairfield Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Per family request, please omit flowers and consider memorials to the Newport United Methodist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care.
