It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle J. Smith of Newfane, New York, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley Smith and Leah Wiseman Smith; and his sister Helen Taylor (Vance). He is survived by: his children, Lyn Seefeldt (Michael) and John Smith (Kathleen); his stepchild Terry Payne; his grandchildren, Tracy Eye (Matthew), Andrew J. Smith and Richard Smith (Maren); his great grandchildren, Hunter Eye, Autumn Eye, Grady Smith and Sari Smith; and his siblings, Doris Stout (Louis), Joan Muisner (Charles) and Tish Gooding (Faber).
