He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Mahar and Sylvia Mahar (Haseley); his wife Linda Mahar (Schwartz); and his brothers, William Mahar, David Mahar (Joan) and Francis Mahar (Maryann).
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Price (Adam) of Batavia and Joseph Mahar (Lyndsay) of Gasport; his grandchildren, Isabella, Eliza Mae, Hailey and Joey; and his siblings, James Mahar and Linda McDonough. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
His hard work and dedication allowed him to have the equipment he enjoyed as well as building a foundation for the business to succeed in the years to come.
