We are sad to announce that on November 30, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Geraldine E. Sweeney of Newfane, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Geraldine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Geraldine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Merritt Long and Margaret Green Long; her children, Michelle McDermott (Robert), Michael Bowers (Susan), Darcy (Fred Stamm), Kelly Sweeney and Krista Sweeney; and her brother Murray Long (Kathryn). She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. (2670 Main St, Newfane, NY 14108). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice, Miller Hose Co. or Newfane United Methodist Church.
