He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Stanton and Ruth Timmerman Stanton; his children, Laura Thomas (Mark) and Lawrence Stanton (Annette); his wife Kathy Troy Stanton; and his siblings, Judy Ramming and Gary Ramming (Joan). He was also cherished by Five in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
