She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Pierce and Rosie Lee Pierce; her son Eddie Lee Washington Jr.; and her siblings, Julia Shaw, Rev. Minnie Bell Powell, Verdi Lee Lennon, Clara Mae Cotton, Henry Lee Pierce and Rev. Horace Pierce.

She is survived by: her daughter Elder Mable Pierce of Norfolk, VA..
